Dear future Au Pair,
My name is Pia C, I’m 20 years old and I’m coming from Croatia. I am currently an Au Pair to the wonderful family located in Toledo(Spain). That’s about 70 km from Madrid.
I came here because I wanted to experience some new challenges and and also to improve my Spanish and to see what’s it like to live in Spain. So far I’ve been here for a month and I can see that my Spanish has improved a lot, I’ve started going to Spanish classes on Tuesday and Thursday, 8 hours a week in total.
I’m going to the University of Castilla La Mancha here in Toledo, and my profesor is great, her name is Natalia. I managed to make some friends via language school and also through my host family ,they are really helpful with that. I can say I’m really happy here,
I like the weather(that’s something that’s really important to me) it’s sunny most of the time. As I said the family is really great, I’m taking care of one boy, who will be 5 really soon, we really clicked when we first met, and they’re super. Some advice to you is don’t be scared.
This is a great opportunity to earn some lifetime experience, you don’t have to worry about food and accommodation and paying bills, just enjoy your time the best you can!!
